Sharing the learning outcomes with you

Whether you are based in a PCT, NHS Trust, SHA, Social Services Department, Low Vision Service Committee, Local Optometric Committee, Voluntary Sector or are an eyecare professional, the knowledge gained from the Programme will help formulate the future direction and planning of services in your local areas.

The testing and development of the NHS Eyecare Pathways (Glaucoma, Age Related Macular Degeneration and Low Vision) is eing undertaken by 8 pilot and 4 associate sites.

To gain maximum benefit from the results of the development of the Eyecare Pathways, this website will:

  • Share on a regular basis the learning, experiences and emerging findings from the pilots.
  • This will enable other organisations to identify potential models of care and new ways of working that can be adopted for their own area and to make positive change a reality.

The number of pilot projects has expanded since the inception of the programme. An updated list is now available.
